Regardless of the size of the organization, a cybersecurity project can only succeed if there is sufficient awareness of this topic within the organization.

If an organization operates in 145 countries, how does its cybersecurity stack up? Baker Tilly International boasts enormous global scalability and is also known for its innovative approach. This was also the goal in the field of cybersecurity: a robust international IT Security and Compliance program.
That is exactly what Mario Jungmann, Chief Information Security and Compliance Officer (CISO), started. Mario, a seasoned CISO and CIO, divided this project into two parts: a Cybersecurity Awareness Project and a proposal for implementing an IT Security and Compliance Framework.
The framework proposal was adopted by Baker Tilly International, marking the start of the program's rollout. This rollout consisted of several phases, all crucial for implementing the Global Standards.

The first phase involved a baseline assessment and the appointment of a Global CISO. A questionnaire was developed and distributed to over 150 participating member firms to gain a complete picture of the global situation. Where do we stand now? What is the maturity level of the firms operating globally under the Baker Tilly Trademark? And what are the best practices that can be defined? Approximately 35 questions addressed topics such as policy, IT infrastructure, tools, and configuration.
Mario has since presented the progress at the Baker Tilly International IT & Technology conference in London. As the global status of the Baker Tilly network gradually gains a more comprehensive understanding, a Global IT Security Governance Council and a Global IT Security Response team are being appointed, a Global IT Security Policy is being developed, and Global Standards are being defined. The first elements of the strategy will be rolled out in the first quarter of this year. As Mario, with his usual work ethic, points out: "Still plenty to do."

Agerion IT has been involved in large-scale IT operations for almost 20 years. Our goal is and remains to make IT (interim) projects a success.
At Agerion IT, wer ae trained in numerous project management methodologies: Prince2, Timeboxing, Agile, and Scrum. What do we primarily use, according to Frank Frerichs? "Common sense." That is why we are not only in a management role but also deeply involved in the project itself. This gives us insight into the entire project and its technical specifications.

We would be happy to discuss how we can secure your organization.
