In a rapidly changing world, larger corporations face significant challenges in protecting their large organizations and ensuring all employees are on board with IT transitions.

That is precisely why, under the leadership of Stefan Frerichs, 35 IT Directors from Baker Tilly offices around the world recently gathered in London.

IT trends and developments

All continents were well represented at this two-day conference, packed with IT trends and developments. They focused on topics such as:

Cybersecurity: how do we address this rapidly growing risk globally?
AI, ChatGPT, CoPilot: what are the possibilities? What solutions does Microsoft offer?
Microsoft Power Platform: a deep dive into the applications of the Power Platform
Audit Technology: technologies related to audit and assurance
Automation: possibilities for automating repetitive tasks
Public Cloud: what approach will we use to move from on-premises environments to cloud environments (such as Azure)?

It is an honor to organize a conference like this in my role as interim IT Director at Baker Tilly International.

In addition to meaningful presentations from companies like EngineB and Microsoft, the IT directors also proactively designed and tested the solutions. This included an AI Copilot hackathon and free space to interactively discuss use cases and develop solutions.
