A day with... Arthihan!

This time, we are meeting Arthihan Velauthapillai, a much-loved colleague on the Agerion IT team.

6:00 AM – ON TO OUD-BEIJERLAND

My workdays start promptly. While Agerion allows you to schedule your own working hours, I like to get an early start. From Bergen op Zoom, I drive to Oud-Beijerland without encountering traffic. I open the office and calmly get to work invoicing licenses and hardware delivered to clients. I am responsible for the SME division at Agerion IT, so I am often found in the region.

SME Support Hoeksche Waard

Once I have worked through my inbox and that of our Support team, I have a good overview of current issues. I then discuss these in the stand-up meeting with the rest of the Support team, so we can tackle IT problems efficiently and quickly.

'Every workday is completely different.'

Custom apps for companies

Less than an hour later, I am standing with my hands in a patch cabinet. This "meter cupboard" (but for networking) is going to be a big help for this SME client. Once everything is tested, we are ready for lunch just in time, and I will happily join the lunch break at the office. I spend the rest of the afternoon working on password managers and tweaking a Power App we are developing for clients. For my part, I am driving home early because I still have to pack my suitcase.

8:00 AM – ON TO LONDON

A few hours later, I get in the same car, but this time I am driving to the airport. I am flying to London with my colleague Coen van den Berg. Once at the airport, we both clear our inboxes, and I get a quick update from the Support team in Oud-Beijerland. They have everything under control, so I can board the plane with peace of mind. Less than two and a half hours later, we are checked in and ready for our meetings that day.

IT for renowned accounting firms

We are meeting at Moore, one of the world's largest accounting firms. Given our IT experience in accounting, they have asked us to contribute to several large IT projects. We sit down with them to discuss the current situation, their specific needs, and how we can support them. It is a productive discussion, which gives Coen and me enough tools to develop a clear proposal. With all the notes in hand, we are invited to dinner with the client before arriving back in the Netherlands a few hours later.

Collaborate?

I work daily with large international companies and at the same time with growth-oriented companies in the Hoeksche Waard and surrounding areas.
